denise fallaizefounderStarting a new business in your sixties is probably a crazy idea but combining all the things I enjoy and working with my family is a complete joy. Having had to abandon a flourishing career in the local finance industry due to ill health it's taken a while for me put my head above the parapet once gain. The idea of owning sheep for fleece and producing yarn has been mulling in my mind for years, but during the last couple of years a number of coincidences have come together giving an opportunity to put it in to action and also create beautiful garments. It's like fate has said "ok the time for talk is over, let's go!"

robert banksChief operating OfficerWith a background in building and construction, I have managed to utilise many of the skills I have acquired along the way with our Le Courriqua enterprise. Whether it's managing logistics, assessing time & materials or just making a plan and communicating it, each of these skills have all come in handy so far - it's just a bonus that I get to do it all whilst spending time outdoors with my family.
When I'm not working I can be found building my own home from the ground up, beekeeping and spending time with my wife and two young children. |
Steve fallaizestockmanSteve takes care of the sheep on a daily basis, checking their water and food. Keeping an eye on how much grass is left in the fields and preparing for moves.
He also manages our land keeping it in tip top condition not just for the sheep but also for wildlife generally, including our bees. Yes we are beekeepers also! |
